Meet our team
While working on start-ups and scale-ups most of my professional life, I frequently ran into the typical friction when engaging with larger corporations. From being on the supplier side to companies such as Exxon Mobile, Chase, and Bestbuy to being on an M&A team of a startup within a large Chinese multinational, I have personally experienced the common challenges: Getting the clear definition of scope, finding and aligning all the right stakeholders, spending way too much time on sifting through start-up profiles that were not a good match and struggling to align both sides of the table when it came down to becoming concrete about a potential collaboration. As the Product lead for Scoutely, I help turn these challenges into opportunities for anyone that is ready to tackle them head-on.

First, I had a corporate life in the biotech and software industries. Then I switched to start-up life resulting in 20+ years of venture building. As they say: I drove the bus, not gotten a ride in the back. Now I specialize in innovation partnering with start-ups. And help end the underwater stuff that blocks promising collaborations. I genuinely enjoy supporting companies that are different establish trusted connections. And see them take off with guts.
Jan Paul Grollé
Right from the moment the internet became a factor, I joined one of the world’s biggest publishers. Played my part in transforming the business to digital, from intrapreneur up to senior executive level. I’m fascinated by all that’s involved in getting results from innovation.
Now primarily coaching and training leaders of start-ups and scale-ups, and facilitating collaborations with bigger companies. With Scoutely, my aim is to provide best practices based on real experience and data.
For the past 15+ years, I have been active in the marketing automation (data-driven) field as a developer, business owner, and consultant. I use my technical background to inform companies on what technology stacks to use in the different stages of the business and how to organize the right team around it. With Scoutely I ensure the platform is built with the latest privacy and safety standards in mind and with a calculated tradeoff between buy and build, users are guaranteed the same availability they are accustomed to with large organizations.
